AAMR

Two Creative Adage Workouts

It all started when…

Astrid Owen found herself along with the rest of the world scrolling videos to find home workouts. Unsatisfied with what she could find, she decided to open up he family homestead and create a digital experiential workout she calls the Autonomous Adage Mirroring Response (AAMR). She aims to invite the observer to imitate the motion of the portrait by evoking the tingling of mirror neurones and consequently exercising to art.

“I am still developing this unique series of video offerings for fringe YouTubers, art lovers, movement meditators and I would be privileged if you would share your AAMR experiences with me so I can continue to gather my research and dive deeper into this offerings”

Her workouts are not as you might imagine. Rather, they are more like visiting an art gallery and stumbling across an alluring portrait. As you stop to look and meditate on the detail, its slow and fluid movement (Adage) triggers a desire to copy. Aiming to invite the observer to imitate the motion of the portrait by evoking the tingling of mirror neurones. Astrid was inspired by the popular ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) YouTube movement which uses auditory tricks to incite reflexive responses, such as calmness, and tingling.

Please try my workouts below.
